Recycled Magazine Art

A little bit of art I have made out of old magazine pages.
I made the mountain one a while ago, and the fox and the bird I made these past two days.

Day one of my stay-cation.
Here's to a week of sleeping in, eating out and not even letting work cross my mind.
I'm ecstatic.

Fashion Friday: Snow White Edition

I thought Snow White would be a good choice for this week because of all the movies coming out soon, like "Snow White and The Huntsman," "Grimm's Snow White" and "Mirror, Mirror." Snow White is even on the TV show "Once Upon A Time." I just can't get enough of all this Snow White business!
So, here is my take on the fairest of them all!

Music Monday: New Album

Ah it's been 24ish hours and I still haven't downloaded this cd.
Sorry about yet again another late post.

I have loved The Shins for years and am glad to hear James Mercer still creating great music!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

*Irish Trivia (that made me feel like dummy)*
*Corned beef*
*Dangerously delicious cocktails*

Thank you Kristen and Peter for a sham-ROCKIN' dinner party. Love you!

I just couldn't resist sharing my favorite little leprechaun.

Sew Much Better!

Kendra bought this Coldwater Creek skirt a few weeks ago at Value Village and thought it be cute. After trying it on when she got home it was a bit more frumpy-drab than fashion-forward.
So I snip-snipped, stitch-stitched and voilĂ ! Much better if I do say so myself.

Fashing Friday: Leprechaun Edition

Ok, ok, so Leprechauns are super creepy, but I thought, "hey, it is almost St. Patrick's Day" so I revamped their outfits in a more practical and fashionable way, and even the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is included.

Music Monday: Colors

1. GROUPLOVE - Colours

2. Foster the People - Don't Stop (Colors on the Walls)

3. The Black Keys - Tighten Up

4. Coldplay - Yellow

5. Jack White - Love Interuption

Fashion Friday: Sabrina Edition

Last night, Kierra and I watched the 1954, Audrey Hepburn film "Sabrina." She is just so cute, and I love all her outfits, so I had to post about her.

"I decided to be sensible the other day and tore up David's picture. Could you please airmail me some Scotch tape?"

Sabrina Fairchild: "I might as well be reaching for the moon."
Baron St. Fontanel: "Oh, you young people are so old fashioned. Have you not heard? We are building rockets to reach the moon!"

Happy friday: ]

Music Monday: I Don't Know What's With Me

I don't know how I keep forgetting Music Monday! I guess with starting something new comes working out the kinks. I guess I'll have to learn to remember. I sincerely apologize! Here are some songs that fit my crazy/forgetful/confused mind!

1. Where Is My Mind? (Pixies cover) - Emmy the Great

2. Crazy (Yes another cover - Gnarls Barkley cover) - Ray Lamontange

3. Don't You (Forget About Me) - Simple Minds

4. Forget Me Not - The Civil Wars

5. I'll Never Forget You - Birdy

A promise I can't make, but I'll try to post on Monday next week, enjoy.

And the winner is...

Out with the old...
and in with the new!

After some serious hunting I found a sofa that fits all my lounging needs. Pretty cute don't ya think?

{Found it here, I got it in sage.}

Bring Spring

Well ladies and gentlemen, I woke up to snow again this morning. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

Here are some awesome florals that are getting me very excited for spring.

Fashion Friday: Goofy Edition

Partially because I feel bad for missing last week, partial because of my overwhelming desire for summer and sunshine (not like last summer, which was not a summer by my weather standards). I hate this rain and snow.

Mixing and matching fun. I would love all this for summer.
